Suspected Theft
You must immediately notify the police as well as any management of any party which you belie has an obligation for the safekeeping of your property.
Note:
- Keep available details of the police notified
- Write a letter of demand to the party you believe should have kept your property safe.
Loss of Property
If property is misplaced or is lost during your travel, make immediately enquires with the carrying company, Hotel Management, etc. You may be entitled to a small amount of money if your property was lost by an airline
company. If not, and you need emergency clothes to see through the trip, keep dockets. Upon return to your place of domicile, notify the local office of Conte, details of the theft or loss. You will need substantiation for the values of articles being replaced. Non essential items such as cameras, etc, require the prior approval of the insurer before purchasing. Accordingly, you will need to phone the local office of Conte for instructions or advice.
Medical and Hospital
Please retain all receipts for medical series, together with a letter from the treating doctor explaining the reason for treatment.
If hospitalisation is required, contact your insurer who can provide assistance inorganising the most suitable hospital (if time is available) and for the type of service required. Upon return from your trip, contact the local office of NAS for further advice and instructions.
